Impulsados por su conocimiento de los manuscritos antiguos, los monjes comenzaron a publicar libros de c\u00e1nticos, con melod\u00edas restituidas a partir de estos manuscritos. En 1883, el <em>Gradual<\/em>, que re\u00fane todos los c\u00e1nticos de la misa, fue publicado.  <\/p><p>En 1889, Dom Andr\u00e9 Mocquereau (1849-1930) le dio una nueva dimensi\u00f3n a estos trabajos. Decidi\u00f3 publicar facs\u00edmiles de manuscritos antiguos que sirvieron a los monjes para restituir las melod\u00edas gregorianas. Fue el nacimiento de Pal\u00e9ographie musicale como editorial y el nacimiento oficial del taller de paleograf\u00eda musical. La intenci\u00f3n de Dom Mocquereau era probar a la comunidad cient\u00edfica que las restituciones de Solesmes coincid\u00edan con las tradiciones antiguas. Podemos decir que este objetivo ha sido cumplido por completo.    <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2574e33 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2574e33\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Para continuar la inspiraci\u00f3n de Dom Gu\u00e9ranger, los monjes de Solesmes fueron enviados a todas las bibliotecas de Europa para fotografiar todos los antiguos c\u00e1nticos manuscritos. As\u00ed conformaron una colecci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de seiscientos facs\u00edmiles de manuscritos, de los cuales varios originales ya no existen. Con las distintas tablas e \u00edndices para facilitar su uso, se convirtieron en las fuentes del trabajo realizado en el taller.  <\/p><p>De forma paralela, se siguieron publicando vol\u00famenes de <em>Paleograf\u00eda musical<\/em>. Veinticinco tomos fueron publicados. El \u00faltimo fue publicado en 2014. Se trata de un facs\u00edmile de manuscrito 542 de la biblioteca de la abad\u00eda de Montecasino, editado por Katarina Livljanic. Por eso, el taller de paleograf\u00eda musical sigue publicando libros de canto lit\u00fargico. Entre 2005 y 2007 se publicaron los tres vol\u00famenes del nuevo antifonario mon\u00e1stico. Posteriormente, en 2008, le toc\u00f3 el turno al segundo volumen del <em>Antiphonale<\/em> <em>romanum<\/em> y, en 2020, al primer volumen.
