Esta convicci\u00f3n ha llevado a nuestra comunidad a fomentar el talento art\u00edstico de sus miembros. Tras sus votos, en 1904 inaugura una fecunda carrera como arquitecto, totalmente dedicada a la gloria de Dios. Us\u00f3 ladrillos por primera vez en la abad\u00eda neerlandesa de Oosterhout, que era entonces el refugio de los monjes de Saint-Paul de Wisques. Ah\u00ed adquiri\u00f3 la experiencia que le permiti\u00f3 realizar su mayor obra: la abad\u00eda de Quarr, refugio de nuestra comunidad. Construy\u00f3 muchas otras iglesias y edificios religiosos, en Francia y en el extranjero. Sus obras revelan una ciencia de la proporci\u00f3n, un sentido de la distribuci\u00f3n de la luz y el significado de las formas que lo hicieron un reconocido maestro de la arquitectura religiosa contempor\u00e1nea y con las que cre\u00f3 escuela. En Solesmes, construy\u00f3 la biblioteca, el gran claustro y el oratorio del padre abad. Falleci\u00f3 en Canad\u00e1, a donde hab\u00eda sido llamado para terminar la construcci\u00f3n del Oratorio de San Jos\u00e9 y hacer los planos de la abad\u00eda Saint-Beno\u00eet-Du-Lac.       <\/p><div> <\/div><div> <\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8e705f2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8e705f2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4894 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/solesmes.frederiqueviviand.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-1024x729.webp\" alt=\"Don-Henri-De-Laborde\" width=\"800\" height=\"570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.abbayedesolesmes.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-1024x729.webp 1024w, https:\/\/www.abbayedesolesmes.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-300x214.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.abbayedesolesmes.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-768x547.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.abbayedesolesmes.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-1536x1093.webp 1536w, https:\/\/www.abbayedesolesmes.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-2048x1458.webp 2048w, https:\/\/www.abbayedesolesmes.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-600x427.webp 600w, https:\/\/www.abbayedesolesmes.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/don-henri-de-laborde-scaled.webp 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p><h2><span style=\"color: #ff9900\">Dom Henri de Laborde (1895-1973)<\/span><\/h2><p>Dom Henri de Laborde (1895-1973) entro en nuestra comunidad en 1916 y fue nombrado sacrist\u00e1n a la vuelta del exilio, en 1922. Se mantuvo 39 a\u00f1os en el cargo. Fue \u00e9l quien realiz\u00f3 casi todos los ropajes lit\u00fargicos de nuestra sacrist\u00eda, entre ellos el rojo pontificio conocido como \u00abDavid y Sa\u00fal\u00bb y el blanco pontificio, llamado \u00abde las pi\u00f1as\u00bb, donde su sentido certero del color se muestra de forma especial. Tambi\u00e9n renov\u00f3 las capillas de la nave de nuestra iglesia y decor\u00f3 el oratorio del padre abad, construido por Dom Bellot. En colaboraci\u00f3n con Dom le Corr, dispuso la cripta alrededor de la efigie de Dom Gu\u00e9ranger, obra de Henri Charlier. No hizo sus votos hasta 1920., \u00c9l tambi\u00e9n pose\u00eda un gran sentido art\u00edstico. Sus dominios predilectos eran la fotograf\u00eda y la orfebrer\u00eda. Nuestra sacrist\u00eda aloja varios de sus c\u00e1lices y copones, de gran belleza.
