The Friends of Solesmes association was founded in 1934 to support the community of monks at Saint-Pierre de Solesmes, to enable its members to enjoy the monks’ friendship, and to help promote the abbey’s reputation.
Every autumn, a day is organised to bring together the association’s members, and more broadly the friends of the monastery, for a meal with the monks and a talk on history or monastic spirituality.
The association publishes a quarterly newsletter, the *Lettre aux Amis de Solesmes*, which is sent to all its members. The membership fee is €35 (€38 for members living abroad).
