The Roman liturgical calendar structures the life of the Church and, therefore, our monastic life at Solesmes. Throughout Advent, Lent, Eastertide, and the solemn feasts that mark the year, we thus unite ourselves to the beating heart of the Church as she prays to Christ, her Spouse. Antiphons, readings, and hymns reflect the spirituality unique to these liturgical seasons, which beautifully give rhythm to our monastic life.
