Welcoming guests has always played an important role in the Benedictine tradition, and Saint Benedict devoted an entire chapter of his Rule to this (RB 53), echoing the words of the Lord: ‘I was a stranger and you welcomed me’ (Mt 25:35).
For men visiting individually or in groups, it is possible to stay within the monastery grounds at the guesthouse
For women visiting individually, in groups or with their families, we provide small cottages for women and families.
For large groups, whether mixed or not, we have a complex of buildings called ‘la Marbrerie’ at the foot of the abbey, on the banks of the River Sarthe.
